Europair completes fire tests for the certification of fire dampers according to Directive 2014/90/EU.

Fire dampers, crucial components for safety on board ships, fall within the scope of Directive 2014/90/EU (Marine Equipment Directive, MED). This Directive establishes the essential safety and environmental protection requirements that such HVHC components must satisfy for use on board ships flying the flag of an EU Member State.

According to Directive 2014/90/EU, the deck and bulkhead tests are essential tests to verify the fire resistance of dampers on board ships.

We began testing in 2021, achieving first success in the bulkhead test. Finally, after a long design work lasting a couple of years, we managed to successfully complete the deck test at the Centrum Techniki Okrętowej S.A. laboratory. in Gdansk

Now the documentary part awaits us, but we are already proud of our "wheel mark"
